I wonder what it would be like to take left handed vacations.
That is
to say, a trip with only left handed people. As my BeingLeft
Handed.com family of friends grow, I forsee in the future a group of
lefties on a cruise ship or a day at Disney dedicated to only left
handed people.
In addition to having a passion for being left handed I also have the
same for travel. Through the years I have been fortunate to take some
memorable trips with my family and with my knowledge of the
Internet I have gotten some great deals.
Cruising
is my
families all time favorite way to travel. There is nothing more simple
(after the check in process - which is continually getting smoother)
than
boarding a ship, unpacking
once
and
then letting a staff of smiling people take care of all your needs. I
love to travel to the caribbean islands where life is peaceful and
there are great shopping deals for whatever you want. Eating is
another favorite pastime with food 24/7 on board. There are always
really good deals at
CruiseDirect.com. I promise no
matter
where you cruise
you won't be disappointed. Our favorite cruise line is
A few years ago I finally got up the nerve to take my family to
Disney World
in Orlando, Florida. No matter what you've heard about long lines and
crowds of people let me put your mind at ease. This was the best trip
not only for my children but also for me and my wife. First thing you
do is buy the book
Birnbaum's
Walt Disney World 2009
and sign up
with
MouseSavers.com (best place for
Disney vacation information on the web). Then go to
Hotels.com and book your stay.
Stay at one of the theme park resorts it's the best way to go. Those
Disney vacation commercials where the parents turn into children is
true! I felt like a kid the entire time I was there. Disney employees
are trained to make you happy and it works. Go no matter how old you
are.
My wife and I have been to
Hawaii
twice. Once on our honeymoon and again for our 10th anniversary.
There's
nothing like tropical islands that are American soil. If I was wealthy
I would live there or have a vacation home. We've been to most of the
islands and Maui and The Big Island are our favorite. You need to stay
at least a week (check out a
vacation home rental) due to the
long
airplane flight. The book I buy to
prepare for this trip is
No
Worries Hawaii: A Vacation Planning Guide for Kauai, Oahu, Maui, and
the Big Island

. Read it
and book through
Hotels.com to get the best deals. I
can hear the
crashing waves calling me now.
Last year my oldest daughter had the honor of singing at Carnegie Hall
in
New York City.
While growing up in Oklahoma and living in Texas, I never had the
pleasure of visiting New York City. My wife and I decided to take the
family out of school and go for this special event. I'm glad we did. We
were there 5 days and that was probably enough at one time for me.
Don't get me wrong it's a beautiful city with many things to see and
do, but it can become overwhelming at times. Book your stay
through
Hotels.com and buy the book,
New
York City For Dummies.
You
must do a
Broadway Show
, see the
Statue Of Liberty, Ground Zero and Times Square at the
bare minimum. We get to go back next year for another Carnegie
engagement with both daughters singing this time. I can't wait.
Last and certainly not least is
Las
Vegas,
Nevada. The adult playground of the world. My wife and I have gone
several times thought the years and loved every time. (However, we
haven't gone very much since our children were born) The
shows. food
and of course gambling

are great for a weekend get-a-way. You can
usually find an inexpensive trip at
Priceline.com

. Try to
stay on
the Strip if
you can. VIiva Las Vegas!
I know this doesn't have a lot to do with being left handed,
but Left
Handed Vacations of all southpaws could be a blast. Someday maybe
someday.
p.s. If your vacation is expensive, don't forget to get a
free travel insurance quote from Travel Guard.
I add it on all our big trips for peace of mind.
