What girl has not imagined herself stepping through a looking glass into a magical world. Thanks to lefty
Lewis Carroll, generations of children have done just that by
reading
Alice's Adventures In Wonderland. The
book was first published in 1865 and tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole
into a world of fantasy filled characters. The title is now commonly known as
Alice In Wonderland.
Only the creative brain of a southpaw could have inspired such a literary classic.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is
considered to be the Great American Novel. Written by American author Mark
Twain in 1884, this novel tells of two young boys adventures in the deep south. Mark Twains humor
in his books and speech gained him popularity with presidents, artists and royalty (and he too is left
handed).
Our next left handed author is H.G. Wells. He created dozens of
fiction and non-fiction books.
The Time Machine
published in 1895,created a world of time travel by using a machine to transport a person to specific
times in history (past & present). This book alone is considered responsible for thousands of science
fiction writings.
